Brown and Sidebottom

In *Brown and Sidebottom*, heard by Dessau J, the mother sought to bring an application concerning her children, Y and A. The father was the respondent in these proceedings. The court was required to determine whether the mother's application should be dismissed and to consider orders restraining the mother from telephoning the children on telephones owned by them or their father.

The central legal issues before the court were the dismissal of the mother's application and the imposition of a restraint on the mother's communication with the children.
