The Administrative Appeals Tribunal considered an application for a Subclass 500 (Student) visa. The applicant sought review of a decision concerning the provision of evidence of adequate health insurance.

The primary legal issue before the Tribunal was whether the applicant had satisfied the criterion requiring evidence of adequate arrangements for health insurance, as stipulated by cl. 500.215 of Schedule 2 to the Regulations.

The Tribunal noted that the applicant had subsequently provided documentation demonstrating that she now possessed adequate health insurance and was enrolled in an Advanced Diploma of Business. In light of this new evidence, the Tribunal was satisfied that the criterion had been met. Consequently, the Tribunal remitted the application for reconsideration, directing that the applicant meets the specified health insurance criterion.
