In the matter of *Bilson & Sarsgaard*, heard before Baumann J of the Family Court of Australia, the dispute concerned parenting arrangements for three children. The court was required to determine whether the Initiating Application should proceed at that stage concerning the parenting arrangements for the two boys, C and F.

The court's reasoning focused on the need to gather further information relevant to the children's welfare. Specifically, the court directed both parents to provide the Independent Children’s Lawyer with information regarding the father's conduct with a young female around the time of the final judgment. The court also granted the Independent Children’s Lawyer leave to relist the matter, including the possibility of seeking an order for a Child Inclusive Conference.

Furthermore, the court made orders prohibiting either parent from recording conversations with any of the children, C, F, and E, by telephone or otherwise. The proceedings were adjourned for a Case Management Hearing to be held on 6 May 2020.
