Bemert and Swallow (No 2)

In *Bemert and Swallow (No 2)*, Watts J of the Supreme Court of Tasmania considered an application for costs following earlier proceedings. The dispute concerned the division of property between the parties, Mr Bemert and Mrs Swallow, and Mr and Mrs Bemert (Snr).

The court was required to determine the appropriate orders for costs to be made against Mr Bemert and against Mr and Mrs Bemert (Snr) in favour of Mrs Swallow and Mr Swallow.

Watts J ordered that Mr Bemert pay $12,000 to Mrs Swallow and Mr Swallow for costs within 28 days. Additionally, Mr and Mrs Bemert (Snr) were ordered to pay $4,000 to Mrs Swallow and Mr Swallow for costs within the same 28-day period.
