In *Bartels & Scholz*, heard by Dawe J, the father sought interim orders for the reintroduction of supervised time with the children, V and E. The mother had previously obtained orders suspending the father's time with the children. The father's application was made pending the delivery of judgment in proceedings where the court was to determine the ultimate parenting arrangements.

The primary legal issue before the court was whether it was in the best interests of the children for supervised time with the father to recommence, pending the final determination of parenting orders. This involved considering the existing orders suspending contact and the father's request for supervised contact.

His Honour ordered that the previous orders suspending the father's time with the children be continued. However, he also made an interim order for the father to spend time with both children once a fortnight, supervised by and at the H Contact Centre, commencing as soon as the centre could accommodate it. Furthermore, an injunction was granted restraining the mother from discussing any allegations with or in the presence or hearing of the children.
