Baird and Baird

In *Baird and Baird*, heard by Judge Altobelli, the dispute concerned parenting orders for four children. The mother sought sole parental responsibility and orders for the children to live with her, while also seeking that the children have no time with or communication with the father.

The court was required to determine whether it was in the best interests of the children for the mother to have sole parental responsibility and for the children to live with her, and whether it was in their best interests for them to have no time with or communication with the father.

Judge Altobelli made orders pending further determination. The mother was granted sole parental responsibility for the children, and the children were ordered to live with the mother. Crucially, the court also ordered that the children spend no time with and have no communication with the father, pending further order. The matter was adjourned for a mention on 5 September 2016.
