In the matter of *Baghti and Baghti*, heard by Watts J, the wife sought orders concerning a motor vehicle registered to O Pty Ltd, a company in which the husband was a director. The dispute centred on the wife's claim for primary relief regarding alteration of property interests, and the immediate disposition of the motor vehicle.

The court was required to determine whether to grant interim orders restraining the husband, in his capacity as director, from dealing with the motor vehicle, and whether to grant the wife exclusive use of the vehicle pending the final determination of property adjustment proceedings. The court also considered the husband's obligation to respond to the wife's application and file a financial statement.

Watts J ordered that the husband, as director of O Pty Ltd, must take all necessary steps to prevent the sale, encumbrance, assignment, disposal, or any other dealing with the motor vehicle. The husband was further ordered to deliver the motor vehicle, its keys, and the combination lock to the wife's residence within 48 hours, and to provide the combination in writing. The wife was granted exclusive use of the vehicle thereafter, with the husband to ensure the company maintained its registration and insurance. Additionally, the husband was directed to file and serve a response to the wife's application for property adjustment and comply with rules regarding financial statements within 14 days. Costs were reserved for each party.
