Babu v Minister for Immigration

Babu sought judicial review of a decision by the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) which affirmed the Minister for Immigration's refusal to grant him a student visa. The application was heard by Judge Barnes in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia.

The central legal issues before the Court were whether the AAT had committed jurisdictional error by failing to comply with sections 359A and/or 357A of the *Migration Act 1958* (Cth).
