In *Anderson & Geddes*, the applicant mother sought findings of contravention against the respondent father concerning final parenting orders made by consent on 17 February 2015. The proceedings were heard by Thornton J.

The central legal issues before the Court were whether the respondent father had contravened specific provisions of the final parenting orders on two identified dates, and if so, whether he had a reasonable excuse for such contraventions.

Thornton J found that the respondent father had contravened order 23 of the final parenting orders on 16 and 17 May 2015, by failing to make a reasonable attempt to comply with its terms. The Court further determined that there was no reasonable excuse for these contraventions. Consequently, the Court ordered that both parties attend before it on 2 September 2015 to be heard on the question of any sanction to be imposed.
