ALLARD & ALLARD

In the matter of *Allard & Allard*, heard before Faulks DCJ, the dispute concerned parenting arrangements for two children, B and C. The proceedings involved Ms Allard (the mother) and Mr Allard (the father).

The court was required to determine the terms of parental responsibility, the extent of information sharing between the parents regarding the children's education and health, the arrangements for the children spending time with their father, and whether the children should be prevented from leaving Australia.

The court ordered that the children live with their mother and that she have sole parental responsibility. However, the mother was directed to provide the father with access to school and medical information at his expense, and to inform him of any urgent or serious medical conditions affecting the children. The children were to spend time with their father as agreed or as subsequently ordered. Crucially, neither parent was permitted to remove the children from Australia without court permission, and the children were placed on the PACE Alert List and Watch List to enforce this prohibition. The respondent father was ordered to pay the applicant mother's costs.
