Administrative Arrangements Order (No. 3) 2008 (TAS)

The Administrative Arrangements Order (No. 3) 2008 was made by the Administrator of Tasmania, acting on the advice of the Executive Council, under section 4(1) of the Administrative Arrangements Act 1990. The order assigns to various Ministers of the Crown the administration of certain enactments and specifies which Government department or State authority is responsible to which Minister in relation to the administration of those enactments. The order also revokes certain legislation. The court was not required to decide any legal issues as the case involved an administrative order rather than a dispute between parties. The order was made to streamline the administration of various enactments by assigning them to relevant Ministers and departments. The order took effect on 17 September 2008.
